Carriage Bolts

Carriage bolts may also be referred to as coach bolts or plow bolts, and are a very common fastener utilized for wood, and sometimes metal. Carriage bolts are available in many different sizes, and are typically designed with a round head and a threaded bolt. A square fitting is found underneath the head, which aids in mounting. Carriage bolts are also often used with a nut to provide a more secure fit after being inserted into a hole that is usually pre-drilled.
