Wood Screws

Wood screws are a very common type of screw, not surprisingly most often used for applications involving wood components. The wood screws are typically designed with either a slotted or a Philips head, and often with a rounded top but flat underside. Wood screws can also come with a flat head, for purposes of driving the screws into a recessed area so as to be flush with the surface. Wood screws can also be found with oval heads, which provides a shape somewhere in between the round head and the flat head. Not as common but still with useful purpose in some applications, wood screws can also feature a square head in both slotted and Philips styles.

Wood screws can be used in a range of applications, and can also be utilized for other components and hardware other than wood, as they provide a secure hold. However, the thread design on wood screws is specifically designed to provide a secure hold and easy drive into wood material.
